The reception staff. I didn't think the location was bad either.
There was no heat in the room. It was very cold in Chicago in November. The girl at the front desk turned up the heat. The bathrooms are scarce, I was lucky it wasn't full.

You have to climb many stairs with your bags to get to the room

The location is ideal, very accessible from the metro. Good value for money and good atmosphere among the people if you want to socialize.
A little noisy early in the morning, but Switzerland was so peculiar to our neighbors

The location is very good. It's near the subway, the blue line.
heating is general, they turned it off in the middle of the night and room was very cold, at one side of the place there is a warehouse where trucks arrive at dawn and noise is too much

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, they just had a strange smell. I would add electrical outlets to the lower and upper cabins because there was only one in the room. The hotel was super nice, good atmosphere and decoration. The location is excellent because there is everything nearby and to get to the center just take the subway.
Strange smell in the room. Doesn't get enough current in the rooms.

There's a missing step lamp inside the rooms. And the beds on the stairs are very uncomfortable.

Friendly staff.
Very noisy. The hotel rooms look onto an alley which has the back of 24 hour restaurant and other late night bars. It is noisy all night with people working, trucks picking up stuff and bringing stuff. The walls are so thin you hear everything said in the other rooms. Synthetic sheeting with plastic bed covers so it gets very warm / sweaty. The description on Booking website is wrong: no rooms with private bath. They do charge for it, if you book it. They do not have their reservation process under control, they loose bookings - all very amateur.

I stayed in a 6-bedded dorm so before my arrival I was actually expecting a small room with limited space, but I was wrong! The room was big and VERY clean! The bedding was good, clean and comfortable and there was always fragrance at the frontdestk! In addition, the staff was really friendly and helpful. They gave really helpful information that I needed and there was always someone at the frontdesk to solve my problem. The location was ideal, just 5 minutes walking from a subway station and 10 minutes from downtown on a train.
The room was not soundproofed; I could here the noises from upstairs and from the street.

The facilities are fairly basic but they seem to be well maintained and clean. There's a friendly atmosphere and the staff were fantastically helpful. The area is great, easy transport into the city, good nightlife and an interesting mix of shops. It's a very good bed for the night at a reasonable price.
The walls are very thin and some of the other guests were not particularly considerate. Buy Earplugs!
